10th October 2007: New Features of Version 1.1
Self-Monitoring:
This means that both components QueueManager and AlertManager monitor each other. For example, if the QueueManager service does not respond, the AlertManager sends a notification to the Administrator’s email address. If the AlertManager is down, the QueueManager will send a notification. Also the connection to the database is monitored and there will also be a notification in case of any problems.
Alert-Buffering:
If the connection to the database is broken, the QueueManager still accepts new alerts from AMS Clients and buffers them in XML files. As soon as the connection is reestablished all buffered alerts will be written into the DB and forwarded by the AlertManager.
